Dinner for God focuses on the work to be done. Dinner with God focuses on the Guest. I think it’s hard to balance because we were created to work and there is so much to do while sitting around feels indulgent and unproductive. But, we cannot give what we don’t have.
interesting perspective…we are created to work, aren’t we? We feel that relationships are conditional and we need to “do” more to earn the affections of God.
